Choosing the Right Gravity Ventilator
The PR uses a single spun aluminum tier. If your roof opening can’t grow but you need more intake area, the two-tier TR gravity ventilator delivers more airflow in a similar footprint. GI/GR is the step up from there for high-volume gravity roof ventilation.
HSC stocks PR units and accessories across the full size range and can source any size, including sizes no longer in regular production, or match you to a current replacement. Same request applies to accessory dampers and curbs for units already installed.
The PR gravity ventilator is also available through our authorized-distributor storefront at Heinlein Supply.
FAQ
What’s the difference between the PR and TR gravity ventilator?
The PR uses a single spun aluminum tier. The Loren Cook TR uses two tiers, which increases intake area for the same footprint. If your application needs more airflow than a PR can deliver in the roof opening you have, TR is the step up.
Does the PR need power to operate?
No. The PR is a gravity ventilator, it moves air through natural pressure differences and wind, with no motor or electrical connection required. It also works as the relief or intake side of a mechanically assisted system.
