Hot Dawg HD Igniter Installation and Service Requirements
Modine requires that installation and service be performed by a qualified service agency. Disconnect power before any wiring work and turn off gas before installing or servicing the appliance. Use only factory-approved replacement parts and follow the furnished wiring diagram. Any replacement wiring must be rated for at least 105°C.
Gas piping must be leak-tested with soap solution or equivalent. Never use an open flame. Gas pressure to appliance controls must not exceed 14″ W.C. Typical inlet pressure targets are 6 to 7″ W.C. for natural gas and 12 to 14″ W.C. for propane upstream of the combination gas control.
How to Verify 5H75032 Compatibility With Your Hot Dawg Heater
Listings for this part vary across suppliers. Some describe it broadly for HD30/45/60/75, while others narrow it to pre-May 2007 units with hot surface ignition. The safest way to confirm fit is to match the exact Modine part number on your existing igniter, check your heater model and serial number on the rating plate, and verify the ignition type, connector style, and bracket geometry.
If your original 5H75032 has been discontinued or is out of stock elsewhere, successor part number 5H75032A may fit.
Call us with your unit details and we’ll confirm the right replacement.
