Choosing the Right ACED Direct Drive Size
The 120C15D shares its 1/4 HP motor with the 120C13D. The 15D catalog number runs the high speed tap at 1550 RPM for 1,661 CFM in free air, while the 13D number runs the same motor at the low speed tap for less airflow.
If 1,661 CFM is more than your job needs, the smaller 90C15DH ACED fan tops out at 865 CFM. For more airflow in the same direct drive family, step up to the 150C16DEC ACED fan, or compare every size on the ACED and ACEB parent page.
120C15D Parts and Motor
Replacement parts are available for the 120C15D, including the direct drive motor and the aluminum wheel.
As an authorized Loren Cook distributor, Heinlein can supply parts for ACED units even after they leave production, and can source a replacement part or a whole replacement fan for any issue. To confirm your model, check the model tag or use the Loren Cook serial number lookup.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the 120C13D and the 120C15D?
Both use the same 1/4 HP, two speed 1300/1550 RPM motor on a size 120 ACED fan. The 120C13D runs the low speed tap for less airflow, and the 120C15D runs the high speed tap for 1,661 CFM in free air. Order the catalog number that matches the speed and airflow your job needs.
Can the 120C15D be used for kitchen grease exhaust?
No. The ACED series is rated for clean air exhaust only. For grease rated roof exhaust, call 773-774-8616 and we will point you to the right Loren Cook unit.
