Wiring Built In on the Shaft Side
The wiring connections on this motor come out the shaft end. Most motors put them on the back, which is the hard side to reach when the motor sits tight in the fan housing.
That is why horsepower, voltage and phase do not identify this part. A motor with the same ratings and its connections on the back leaves them facing into the housing, which makes it a harder job to wire in the field.
Matching This Replacement Motor to Your Fan
Three-phase motors go into larger Loren Cook units, and the same fan model can be built with either a single-phase or a three-phase motor depending on how it was ordered. That means the model number alone will not tell you whether this is your part.
The serial number will. Use the Loren Cook serial number lookup or read the supply voltage and phase off the fan nameplate, and we will confirm it against the original build before you order.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does tri-volt mean on this motor?
It means the motor is wired at installation for 208, 230, or 460 volt three-phase power. Which one applies depends on the supply feeding your unit, so one part number covers all three buildings.
Can I use this to replace a single-phase motor?
No. A three-phase motor needs a three-phase supply. If your fan runs on single-phase power you need a different motor, and we carry the single-phase replacements for the same fans.
