The Modine C/CW cabinet unit heater is a hydronic steam and hot water heater available in 8 sizes from 250 to 1,430 CFM, in stock and ready to ship. The C/CW is built for commercial spaces where architectural appearance matters. The cabinet is welded 18-gauge steel on top and sides with 16-gauge fronts, finished in a tan polyester powder coat. Coils are copper tube with aluminum fins, available in 1-, 2-, 3-, or 4-row configurations. Optional cooling is also available on current production units.

All units run on 115V/1Ph/60Hz with direct-drive blowers. The current standard motor is an EC motor with a 3-speed switch. PSC and high-static motor options are also available.

C/CW Mounting and Airflow Arrangements

Model C mounts on the floor in an exposed pedestal configuration. Model CW can be exposed on a wall or ceiling, partially recessed, or fully recessed into the wall or ceiling. Perma-Lap frames are available for finished recessed installations.

Airflow direction is set by the arrangement code. Floor and wall arrangements include bottom-in/top-out, front-in/top-out, bottom-in/front-out, and front-in/front-out. Ceiling arrangements and inverted wall arrangements follow the same inlet/outlet patterns. Inlet and outlet faces can be ordered with louvers, bar grilles, duct collars, or adjustable louvers depending on the application.

C/CW Coil Ratings and Outside Air Options

Standard 1-row and 2-row coils are rated for 200 psig working pressure with water up to 240°F. High-capacity 3-row and 4-row coils are rated for 200 psig with water up to 200°F. Steam applications use 1-row coils rated for up to 10 psig. Sizes 002 through 006 use 3/4 in. NPT connections on standard coils, while sizes 008 through 014 use 1 in. NPT.

Outside air options include 25% and 100% outside air duct collars and 25% and 100% motorized damper configurations, all factory-set through the model nomenclature. Additional accessories include a disconnect switch, return-air thermostat, tamper-proof fasteners, keyed access doors, leveling bolts, and plug-in motor leads.

What is the difference between Model C and Model CW?

Model C is a floor-mounted pedestal unit for exposed installations. Model CW supports wall mounting, ceiling mounting, and recessed installations. Both share the same size range, coil options, and motor choices.

Can the C/CW be used for cooling?

Yes. Current production C/CW units offer an optional cooling configuration. Contact us for details on cooling coil availability for your size and arrangement.

Can the C/CW bring in outside air?
