ACWD and ACWB Construction
The ACW housing is 16 gauge marine alloy aluminum bolted to a rigid aluminum support, with a pre-punched keyslot wall flange and a mounting template for layout. The wheel is a backward inclined 100 percent aluminum design with a cast aluminum hub and an aerodynamic inlet cone. A rolled bead windband adds strength, and lifting lugs are built in for rigging.
ACWD direct drive uses a permanently lubricated sealed-bearing motor in a weather-tight compartment, separated from the airstream. ACWD-EC adds an electronically commutated motor with a built-in potentiometer or 0-10 VDC control. ACWB belt drive uses a NEMA design B motor with cast iron drives sized to 150 percent of motor horsepower and regreasable ball bearings in a cast iron pillow block, rated L50 over 200,000 hours. The belt-drive top cap opens with stainless quick-release latches, no tools needed.
ACW Models, Sizes, and Pressure Builds
The ACW comes in three pressure builds so you can match the fan to your static. Standard ACW covers most jobs, ACW-HP is the high pressure build, and ACW-XP is the extended pressure build.

ACW Motor, Wheel, Belt, and Bearing Parts
Many buyers reach this page looking for a part, not a whole fan. Heinlein stocks and sources Loren Cook replacement parts for every ACW size, including the motor, the aluminum wheel, the drive belt, and the regreasable pillow-block bearings. The ACW is an expensive, long-service unit, and the right part keeps an installed fan running instead of forcing a full replacement.

What is the difference between the ACWD and ACWB?
ACWD is direct drive, with the motor coupled to the wheel for fewer moving parts and less maintenance, in 9 standard sizes from 70 to 180. ACWB is belt drive, in 10 standard sizes from 100 to 245, which reach higher airflow and let you tune speed through the drive. When should I use the ACW instead of a roof fan?
Use the ACW when a roof curb or roof penetration is not practical. It mounts on an exterior wall and discharges horizontally, so it suits sites where roof access, structure, or layout rules out a roof exhauster.
